WHS 4 - 2 Smithills

Year 8 lads made a fine start to the season winning their first game away against Smithills School. Being three nill up at half time though, they made hard work of the second half, letting Smithills get back into the game. 10 mins into the half the score was 3-2 in our favour and there were anxious moments for parents and the manager before a fine free kick by winger Kane Gowns sailed in over the head of the keeper. The final score was 4-2 to Westhoughton. Next game is against Sharples school (home) this wed 20th sept. All support welcome!
